Glorious 25 Years of Existence

Hindi Wing of Indian Social Club Oman is a socio-cultural group of Hindi lovers in Oman – formally established in 1996 as a linguistic wing of the Indian Social Club. This group brings together a large diversified Indian community in Oman celebrating Indian festivals, organizing cultural programs, competitions and actively participating in inter wing activities and social service endeavors of the Indian Social Club and the initiatives of Embassy of India Muscat

– giving a taste of India to Indians away from India. 

 

वर्ष 1996 में स्थापित इंडियन सोशल क्लब ओमान का हिन्दी विंग, हिन्दी प्रेमियों की सामाजिक एवं सांस्कृतिक संस्था है। यह त्योहारों, उत्सवों, सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों और प्रतियोगिताओं के आयोजन के माध्यम से यहाँ के भारतीय समाज को जोड़ता है। हिन्दी विंग इंडियन सोशल क्लब और भारतीय राजदूतावास मस्कत द्वारा आयोजित गतिविधियों और समाज सेवा के प्रकल्पों में तत्परता और सक्रियता से भाग लेता है। हमारा प्रयास रहता है, प्रवासी भारतीयों को अपनी मातृभूमि की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत से जोड़े रखना । 

ओमान में हिन्दी, हिन्दुस्तान और हिन्दुस्तानियों को खूब पसन्द किया जाता है। इस गौरव-शाली स्थिति को लाने का श्रेय जाता है, सैकड़ों वर्ष पुराने ओमान – हिन्दुस्तान सम्बन्धों को, ओमान को अपनी कर्मभूमी मान अपना कर्मठ योगदान देने वाले हिन्दुस्तानियों को, और हिन्दुस्तानी सिनेमा को। ओमान की राजधानी मस्कट में हिन्दी और हिन्दुस्तानियत को बढ़ावा देने में भारतीय सामाजिक संस्था (Indian Social Club, Oman) के हिन्दी विंग का भी सराहनीय योगदान रहा है।
इस संस्था की विधिवत स्थापना वर्ष 1996 में हुई थी। इस संस्था द्वारा वर्ष भर विभिन्न उत्सवों का आयोजन किया जाता है जिन में होली, दीपावली, तीज, बसंत पंचमी, बैसाखी मुख्य हैं। आयोजित किये जाने वाली प्रतियोगिताओं में मुख्य हैं – अंताक्षरी, कविता पाठ, विश्व हिन्दी दिवस, ज्ञान-प्रश्नोत्री, चित्रकारी तथा नृत्य। इन सभी आयोजनों का मुख्य उद्देशय रहता है – भारत से दूर रह रहे भारतीयों को भारत, भारतीय सभ्यता और भारतीय संस्कृति से जोड़े रखना।
जिस आयोजन का मस्कट के हिन्दी प्रेमी वर्ष भर उत्सुकता से प्रतीक्षा करते हैं, वो है – हिन्दी हास्य कवि सम्मेलन। अब तक आयोजित कवि सम्मेलनों में 100 से भी अधिक प्रसिद्ध, चर्चित व उभरते कवियों को सुनने का सौभाग्य मस्कट वासियों को प्राप्त हुआ है – इनमें प्रमुख नाम हैं – सर्व श्री काका हाथरसी, सागर खैयामी, ओम प्रकाश आदित्य, जैमिनी हरियाणवी, अलहड़ बीकानेरी, हरी ओम पंवार, अशोक चक्रधर, सुरेन्द्र शर्मा और कुमार विश्वास।
